I have created a quiz to assess my students on a piece of work. Some of the questions give feedback based on the whether they have the answer correct or incorrect. Also also have a rubric attached to the quiz.
I am able to select the rubric easily enough, by opening the the description and copy and pasting into the assignment comments. I would like to know is there a way of accessing the feedback comments without having them in the comment bank ( which by the way becomes unmanageable after awhile).
Ultimately I would like to be able to click and select the feedback comments to Use as strengths and targets and for them to appear and click on the rubric. So that the Assignment comment box is populated.
The assignment comment box is used in our school by the report writing system to generate reports
Hey @StuartBall!
This is an interesting concept. However, I am not aware of a way that clicking on a rubric item will populate the submission's comment box. This is why the Comment Library is part of SpeedGrader, which you stated that you do not want to use. Can you expand on the reason you prefer not to use the Comment Library?
Hi @StuartBall, I perhaps have a different understanding of your question to @ryan_corris .
I think that rather than returning a comment, what you actually may need would be a rubric 'rating' statement which can be in text form and which will be provisioned by the Rubric when wither the Quiz is autograded or you add a manual grade. I don't have my head around the detail of this, but would recommend this useful resource from Cal State https://csueastbay.screenstepslive.com/a/1646207-using-rubrics-with-canvas-quizzes#adding-a-rubric-t...
I am struggling to find a New Quiz specific Instructure Rubric guide, so can't confirm whether this would be available at question level...
