How do I add my second child to my parent portal? I do not have a pairing code.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Hello @VeronicaW86 ...
I'm not sure if this will help or not, but I found a past topic here in the Community that might be useful to you:
In it, @KristinL writes:
You'll be able to add another student to your already-existing Canvas Observer account which you use in the browser and in Canvas Parent.
Before you begin, make sure you have your students' pairing codes. Then, from a browser (not the app at this time!), sign in to your account. Then click Account, then Settings, then Observing. On this screen, you'll see a +Student button. Just above that button, there will be a space in which you can enter your pairing code. Once a student's account is linked to yours, their name will be added to the list under "Observing". (How do I link a student to my user account as an observer?)
If you have other questions about the Observer role, I wrote about the role and collected some tips in a blog. I hope it's helpful! Clarity for Canvas Observers
Re: the broken "pairing codes" link above...I'm not exactly sure where the original link went to when the Community was on a different platform, but I did find this document that might be close to what Kristin was linking to: Pairing Codes - FAQ - Instructure Community (canvaslms.com).
And, here's a corrected link for: Clarity for Canvas Observers - Instructure Community (canvaslms.com).
Again, I'm not sure if this will help at all, but I thought I'd provide you the information just in case. Good luck!
