I am not sure if you were able to resolve this. I am replying to this just in case.
I don't know why assignments are syncing but the grades are not. One good place to start with investigating this issue is to run a Remster Sync in the course. If there is an issue syncing the grades, an error should be listed once it completes from within the grade sync area of the course in question. If your school is a Canvas managed SIS, Canvas support can try to track down what might be causing it based on the error that is being reported.
Some other things to verify:
- Ensuring that the assignment is set to Sync to SIS. This can usually be done from within the edit screen of the assignment or quiz.
- Ensuring that the assignment or quiz is not part of a past grading period. I highly doubt that this is what is causing your specific issue, but I have run into it occasionally. If the assignment or quiz is within a closed period within Canvas or powerschool, it would not allow for the grades to sync over because the period has ended.
- Ensure that the assignment is part of a imported SIS category. If it is not part of an imported category, this can be easily fixed by moving it to the correct category that is synced with powerschool.
