I accidentally uploaded the wrong file for my final assignment, and when I try and click the delete button, I get prompted with: Error updating submission draft
I also have trouble uploading multiple files and get the same message
This is incredibly frustrating as my professor doesn't allow us to email our assignments, and this final is worth 20% of my grade
I get the same message when trying to upload from just a file on my computer, Canvas Studio, or Google Assignments

Hi @LouisSpinelli,
I found this unanswered thread when doing a community cleanup. Apologize for the issues you had with this assignment. I believe this was related to a bug around the timeframe of your post last year that has since been fixed. I know students at the institution I work for were also running into that exact error message for a few weeks. As far as I know, Instructure does have the issue resolved now at least. If you are still running into the problem, please let us know!

I m still having the same issue in the summer program. I can not delete an uploaded file that has been submitted in two different sections. Any help would be appreciated. I am a first time on-line student.
Hi @EWilliams206,
You're describing a slightly different issue in your post. Once something has been submitted in Canvas, you can basically treat it as permanent. Sometimes a teacher or admin could delete an individual file, but that would vary based on school policies and permissions and is generally very rarely done. You should almost always be able to submit another attempt with the correct file though. If that's not an option for you right now, your teacher could add more submission attempts for the class if they are agreeable.
Hope this helps a bit.
-Chris
