Hello,
We have just enabled an automated integration that allows our students, teachers, and courses to be pulled from our SIS to Canvas.
Post-integration, we noticed that courses, students, and teachers from sections that will not be using Canvas were created in Canvas.
Will the school be charged for these automatically created accounts?
Additionally, our students have single sign-on. Will a student from a division that does not use Canvas be considered an active user and thus charged to the school if they enter via SSO?
Thank you in advance for the clarification,

Hi @BenCoulombe,
I think most of those questions are something you'll need to ask your Customer Success Manager or Account Manager directly. As far as I know, there are many different contract/pricing models available, and honestly nobody in the community here is going to know the details of your particular contract. Even if I shared the answers to your questions for my university's contract, they may be the complete opposite of the answers that would apply to your contract, so I don't think it's a good idea to go down that road at all.
I hope this helps direct you to the right person to give you an exact answer.

Hi @BenCoulombe ...
These questions are probably best addressed by your assigned CSM (Customer Success Manager) at Instructure. If you don't know who that person is, I may be able to help put you in contact with someone who can help identify that person for you.
