When we attempt to export an attendance report for some students we get an email with this message:
An error occurred when trying to generate your report:
Could not find student with SIS ID V144159a
In the past i have added a character to the end of the SIS ID which seems to resolve the issue. Today that is not the case and adding the extra character still does not allow me to export the report. What can i do to resolve this issue for this student and future students.

I dont think that it matters what character I enter, it will work. I mentioned that it did not work yesterday but after giving it some time, I was able to generate the report after changing the SIS ID by 1 character. Currently our SIS IDs are entered as V123456. Usually they work fine. When we generate the attendance reports, some of them will not work at which point I go in and change the SIS ID to V123456a. Sometimes i can then generate the report right away, other times I need to check back later and i can run the report.
Hi @WCCAdmin,
For anyone that comes across this question, can you please tell us what the character is that you have added in the past and are trying to add now? It could be helpful to someone else (including myself) in the future.
Besides that, do not have an answer for you and you might need to consider reaching out directly to Canvas Support or your Canvas CSM.

Thank you for the additional context/detail, @WCCAdmin, and glad that you were able to get it to work.
