Is it possible to create an auto reply for inbox messages on Canvas (for example an out of office message)?

Last evening I stumbled upon a pretty new blog post from Instructure. It appears as though auto-replies are coming to the Canvas Inbox (so you could use them as an out-of-office if you wanted). Here's a blog posting from Instructure with the details (and much more):

@l_m_vander_lubb - The feature @Chris_Hofer saw coming is now here! If your admin selects the "Enable Inbox Auto Response" checkbox in the Account Settings page, then instructors and students can set up auto replies in the Inbox settings.

As @ericwerth has stated above, the Canvas Inbox does not have an auto-reply option. The link that was provided was from the old Canvas Community website. However, I have found a similar Feature Idea which may be similar to what you are requesting: Auto-reply for Canvas messages - Instructure Community. If you feel that this Feature Idea would be something you'd like to see implemented by Instructure (the company that makes Canvas), then you might want to consider giving it a star rating (How do idea conversations work in the Instructure ... - Instructure Community) and also add a comment letting them know why this would be important to you.
