Can I share an account level rubric into a sub account level course?

Hi,

I am the root admin and cannot find how to share a rubric that I created at the account level...

I attempted to import specific content into the course, however the only 2 viable options in the menu options I am familiar with,

• copy a canvas course, (which is not where I created the rubric), or
• canvas course export package,

are not applicable. I did not see a share option for a rubric at the account level. 

I attempted to add it in the course assignment and searched for it in the subaccount level rubrics feature, but could not do either. 

Does one have to create rubrics at the subaccount level only?

Or, is there a feature I need to use, like Learning Mastery?

Hi there @jlugo1 ...

As far as I know...when you create rubrics at an account or sub-account level, those rubrics can then be imported into courses.  The Course Import Tool really isn't used to share a rubric from the main account level to a sub-account level (and vice versa).  The Course Import Tool is only used to import content from course to course.  And, since the rubrics you are asking about live at an account or sub-account level, the Course Import Tool wouldn't see those rubrics because it's looking for content within a course...not content at an account level.  Depending on your sub-account setup, you may need to create the same rubric at both the account level and the sub-account level, but you'd have to try things out on your end to see how importing that rubric works in an actual course.
