Can canvas average scores?

The overall grade for the class in question is partially-derived from the average of test scores. Is there a way for canvas to average the test scores (like blackboard did very easily)?

Hi Robert -

It sounds like you need to create a separate Assignment Group that you use to house all of your tests.  This will allow you to not only weight that Assignment Group (i.e. grading category) from the Assignments Index, but you would also be able to see each student's "test score" average from the Assignment Group subtotal column in the Gradebook (it would be on the far right).

It’s funny how this has been ‘accepted as a solution’ when it solves nothing. I’m not seeing the average you mentioned nor did you answer the question that I’ve been asking for two months: how do I produce the average and then use that value to derive an overall grade. I don’t know how else to say it. This is utterly ridiculous.
