So with the newest update that was just posted...does that mean that Canvas after June of 2024 will no longer work with anything Google. If this is so, I may need to move back to Google Classroom. For our district that is heavily used by Google apps I will have to move back.

Basicallly, my take on things is that Google is not going away, but rather is updating to the newest integration standards with Canvas, but at the same time making some changes to what Google accounts are going to work with LMSes like Canvas in the future. The https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/The-Product-Blog/ANNOUNCING-Collaborations-in-Canvas-A-New-Featur... post explains things in a bit more detail for Canvas administrators, who will need to install the new integration version.
