Correction of "date shift" error when copying course

I made a mistake with the “shift dates” widget when I copied my last semester course into my new course for next semester.  It will be a tedious job indeed to correct all the dates, manually.  I read the Canvas background material but just wanted to double-check.  I would like to copy the course (again) into my new course, but only click “Quizzes” and “Discussions.”  Would that only write over quizzes and discussions, and not create duplicates, or cause other problems?

Hello @JonathanSleeper 

When reimporting the same content it will overwrite the original content. Even if you reimport specifically selected content. It will only overwrite the content that you select.

If you do not have any submitted assignments and grades in the course, another option is to reset the entire course (if your institution allows), if you want to start from scratch and import the content again with the correct dates.
