I was wondering if there is a list of which course settings are altered when pushing content from a blue print courses. I understand the homepage and course Navigation menu can be pushed to the associated courses as well as the individual contents (Assignments, Discussions, etc.) in the Blueprint course. but are there any other settings that can change when synced. "Course settings" is very vague.

You are welcome, @muneeb_mobashar. Using templates or Commons is a possibility.
For what it is worth with blueprints, in beta I just put together a hypothetical and I was able to push and overwrite "Course Settings" (at least the bottom portion) to both new and already existing associations. I did have to create new content (an unpublished page) and then delete it in the blueprint course in order to be able to push/sync the course settings.

Hi @muneeb_mobashar,
What is or is not altered/pushed depends on the settings that are applied and whether or not a specific design element or piece of content supports it.
I would recommend reviewing the admin and instructor guides and look at what is available under "Courses and Sections".
There is also a blueprint overview video at https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Video-Guide/Blueprint-Courses-Overview/ta-p/383201.

Thank you. I think the issue is these specific settings are being changed and instructors do not want them overridden and having to change them back each term.

What you've asked about and pictured above should be related to the "Include Course Settings" option when doing a sync.
- Doug
Thank you. Yes but in the first sync that option is not available it pushes to the associated courses regardless. You only get that option on later syncs. This is according to Canvas and them acknowledging it.
@muneeb_mobashar You may want to look into Course Templates to ensure that all courses (moving forward) have the same settings.
This also include blueprint courses. When the course is created the template will apply then the blueprint course. As long as the blueprint course creator isn't changing those settings, that is. At our district we do a check of course settings before blueprinting to ensure that course settings aren't changed to something that will result in a poor experience.
Melody, thank you. This is the issue. Different instructors have different settings. But the department want some specific Quizzes and assignments pushed to the courses I think maybe Commons is a better way to go for this.
