Disabling "dropped grade" orange highlighting?

The gradebook used to highlight late submissions blue. Then I implemented the "drop lowest grade" feature, and now many of the late submissions that were blue are now orange to indicate that they're dropped. So I can't easily see which submissions are late at a glance. Is there a way to disable the orange highlighting, or change the priority where if both are true (late and lowest grade) it highlights as blue?

Hi @labcat,
My best suggestion would be to follow the How do I change the color for a grading status in ... - Instructure Community - 998 guide to customize your gradebook colors, removing the color for dropped (click the white colle icon with the red slach through it). I'm not sure if this would actually make the late status color return or not though, but it's a quick change you could try. The guide does note: "Some assignments may have multiple statuses applied (for example, dropped and resubmitted). In this case, some status colors may override other status colors." It may be the case that you just won't be able to see the late status color for dropped assignments.
