Discussion Checkpoints

I see release notes and a walkthrough for setting discussion checkpoints (multiple due dates), but I don't see it as an option when setting up (or editing) a discussion. What am I missing?

Your institution may not have enabled it yet (mine hasn't).

You may need to ask your local Canvas support about it. It could be they have a reason for why they haven't enabled it yet (like mine), or that they just haven't considered it and are open to enabling the feature.

For anyone else coming across this, besides making sure that your institution has enabled the feature, you will not see the "Assign graded checkpoints" setting until the discussion has been set as "Graded".
