Discussions - don't allow attaching files

Is it possible to create a discussion that will not allow students to upload a file to it so that they are forced to submit their answer by typing it out (or pasting in) but not upload a file.

Hi Don -
You can do this from one of two places:
- You can set this preference in your course Settings. Check out this user guide on setting Course Details to learn how.
- You can also accomplish this preference from your Discussions Index. Check out this user guide on Discussion Settings for directions, understanding that, while this guide shows you how to ALLOW the attachment of files, simply unchecking the box indicated will disallow this behavior.
