Emailing to Whole Class - Group Emails

When I write an email to the entire class by selecting a course and selecting "All in Students" the "Send an individual message to each recipient" checkbox is selected and will not allow me to unselect it. As a result I get an email listed individually for EVERY student in my "Sent" folder. Is there a way to avoid this?

Your school's local Canvas Admins have the ability to make it so certain permissions (in this case Student Permissions) don't have the ability to send individual messages. It sounds like your institution has made it so Students are not able to do this.
You may want to reach out to your local Admin to see which permissions have been set up!
