Error with announcement

Hi, I am receiving an error when I try to save an announcement that has been made available to all sections.  It says 'error updating discussion type' yet this is an announcement.  I am able to save it to specific sections without problem, just not all sections. 

This is annoying as it means I need to always add new sections to the announcement when I prefer it to be available to all.

Hi @AnitaCunningham,

I think this is an error that has been resolved since you posted.  Discussions and Announcements share much of the same code, as students can reply to announcements like a discussion, so that's probably why the reference said discussions.  If you still experience the issue, I'd recommend that you contact Canvas support so they can investigate further.
