Hi, Thank you for clicking on my question.
I want to connect between Canvas and Google Classroom.
However, I didn't know except for Google Assignment.
Is there any way to connect the Google Classroom?
Hi @uja2223,
The only way I know to make any kind of official connection like that is through the Google Assignments LTI, which it sounds like you're already aware of. If it's available to you, you could use the redirect tool (found under course settings -> external apps) to create a link to your google classroom site on the Canvas course navigation menu, but in my head it really seems like outside of assignments it would be better to either use google classroom or use Canvas but not try to mix and match them together. With that being said, is there something specific you're trying to link to from Canvas? If you can give us some more details, someone might be able to offer more suggestions or alternative ways to do things.
-Chris
Since Google Classroom is a competitor to Canvas, it doesn't really make sense to try to use them together. You can provide a link to your Google Classroom from your Home Page in Canvas or as an item in a Module, but there isn't much reason to do so.
Canvas can and does work with Google Drive, which exists independently from Google Classroom. Are you working as part of an institution, or do you have your own Canvas account?
The Google Assignments LTI is a useful tool for those who are used to Google Classroom and are looking for similar behavior in Canvas. But I highly recommend that you choose one or the other and then use it to its best functionality without trying to make one behave like the other.
