How do I correct the course number shown in announcements?

Last year I taught Bio 046. This year I am teaching Bio 196. When I send out an announcement it comes from Bio 046 even though I am in my new course dashboard.  How do I fix this?    Thank you.

Hi @DanyAdams ...

I would recommend having a conversation with your school's Canvas administrator or someone from their Online Learning / eLearning / Distance Learning team.  They would be able to look at your course in more detail than we can here to figure out where this incorrect course number is coming from.  Most likely, this is something you probably can't change on your own via your course "Settings" page.
