Hi everyone,
I’m looking to conduct a poll on Canvas LMS to gather opinions or feedback from my students. Could someone guide me on the best way to create a poll within Canvas? Is there a built-in feature for this, or would I need to use an external tool and integrate it with Canvas?
Any tips or best practices for managing polls effectively on Canvas would also be appreciated.
Thank you!

The issue is downloading a report to show responses
I had a tutor ask me recently about creating polls, I suggested the ungraded survey option in the quizzes.
But, they where looking for some way to provide the results to the students just after they had taken the poll, solution was to use the free poll maker in Canva, https://www.canva.com/poll-maker/
Might be worth investigating.
In the second case, i.e., if you'd like to share the results with students:
If you are in Europe and don't want to risk running afoul of data protection laws, consider which organisations are already your data processors. For example, if your institution already subscribes to Microsoft365, then Microsoft Forms may be an appropriate solution. Less commonly in Europe, if your institution uses Google Workspace for Education, you may want to use Google Forms.
Two additional benefits of this approach: it's free (your institution is already paying for it even if you don't use it) even for more advanced features, and you don't need to create any new accounts.
Thanks! Are there plans to perhaps have a native poll functionality?
