When making a folder, we have the "only available with link" option. However, I don't know how to get/share that link. If I use the naive link showing in the URL for that folder, when I share it to my students it says "the specified resource does not exist". How do I share a folder with only a few students? (Note I'm talking about a whole folder, and not specific files). Thank you!!
Hi @efrencc,
Do you, by chance, have the files course navigation menu hidden from students? In the back of my head, I'm recalling that with that scenario you can't give a link to an entire folder because that needs the files interface (which is hidden/disabled for the students) to work. If you do have the files menu available to students, let us know and we can do some more digging.

Hello, thank you for your reply @chriscas !
No I don't have the files navigation menu hidden from students. Indeed there are other folders that are already available to all of them. I just want to hide this one folder and share it with just a few students, but they don't seem to be able to access it. More help greatly appreciated, thank you!!
Hi @efrencc,
Thanks for the followup. After doing more testing, I'm seeing the same thing you are now (I may have mistakenly been using a TA enrollment instead of a student one to check last time). I'm fairly sure this is a bug, and I'll try to report it tomorrow during my normal work time if I get a chance. I'd encourage you to report this to Canvas Support as well.
