Is there a way to add more time to a quiz that has run out of time?

I have a student who had a technical issue mid-quiz which prevented them from finishing. I wanted to know for the future if there was a way for me to let them pick off where they left off even though the quiz was "submitted" already. I am already aware that I can extend time for student who are currently taking the quiz, but my question is if I can do the same for a quiz that has already been submitted due to running out of time.

The best way to manage that would be to give the student an extra attempt on the quiz. You may also need to extend the availability time for the quiz by adjusting the assignment of the quiz for that particular student (Available From and Available To fields in the quiz settings). I believe New Quizzes makes this even easier by allowing you to reopen a current/most recent attempt to retain their previously entered responses.
