Missing Keyboard Shortcuts when Embedding New Canvas Shorts

I am in the process of replacing embedded Canvas Video Tutorials with the newer Canvas Shorts. I've discovered that the handy keyboard shortcuts option in the New Media Player has been replaced with a button to copy a link that, when pasted into a new tab, takes you to a detailed transcript with screenshots provided by a service called Guidde.

The new shorts seem to be hosted there. With accessibility considerations in mind, is there no way to embed them in our courses while still retaining the option for the keyboard shortcuts display? Ideally, the current button would still exist (because the detailed transcript page is very helpful), but would be an actual link and not just a "copy" function for the link.

Example:

Canvas Overview for Students is a retiring video. We are replacing it with the Canvas Overview (Students) short from the Getting Started page.

Great question! The Keyboard Shortcuts menu in the older Overview Videos were hosted in a different platform than we are using now for the Canvas Shorts (Guidde AI). Some of the differences between those two players is that Guidde AI does not include a Keyboard Shortcuts menu and copy link icon is visible by default. 

I've created a ticket with Guidde to see if they have any resources on the available keyboard shortcuts for end users and shared your two ideas, to add a keyboard shortcuts menu and update the copy link to open the video, with Guidde for their consideration.  

Lastly, I've done some testing. From what I can see, the following keyboard shortcuts are available (it's very possible there are more):

Keyboard Shortcut	Action
Right Arrow	Skip to the next "step" or section in the video
Left Arrow	Go back a "step" or section in the video
Up Arrow	Increase volume
Down Arrow	Decrease volume
M	Toggle mute/unmute
Space bar	Toggle play/pause
Tab	Navigate forward through player buttons
Shift+Tab (consecutively)	Navigate backward through player buttons
F	Open video fullscreen
Esc	Exit fullscreen
C	Toggle captions
0	Jump to start
1-9	Jump to specific percentage (1=10%, 2=20%, etc.)
