New Quizzes - Glitch (Cursor jumps text boxes)

I have a student reporting that when she takes a test (Canvas New Quiz, timed) on her MacBook, using Google Chrome as her browser that "every time she clicks a text box to provide an answer, the cursor unclicks and goes to the next question."

I (the instructor) am also using a MacBook Pro and Edge (or Chrome) as my browser.  I have experienced something similar when using Speedgrader and the Assignments comments area. The active cursor will just stop mid-typing and I have to click the box to bring the cursor back to keep typing.  

I searched the Canvas Guides but did not find anything related to this.

Please help us out! 🙂

This is currently a known issue, documented at [OPEN] RCE in New Quiz Essay questions loses focus... - Instructure Community - 658497.  You can watch that issue page for an update when the issue is resolved.
