Padlock?

Dear people,

In the menu's for editing user rights/permissions and course rights/permissions you can see a padlock.

It's not clear to me what that function does. Could anyone explain it to me?

Hi @pall66,

The "lock" option means that the setting chosen there is not able to be changed in any subaccounts or courses under the account you're in.  If you leave a setting unlocked, you're basically setting the default value, but allowing subaccount admins or teachers to change the setting if they wish.
