We posted a video to our course and the Source Chooser allowed learners to view an enhanced version of the video. We edited the video ( in a different software than it was created) and reposted and now the Source Chooser option is no longer visible. Are there settings that need to be adjusted in Canvas to allow for the Source Chooser to be available on embedded videos?

Hello @rbalziebler
Just to follow up with what @ColtonSwapp has already stated - it is likely this third party app that you used to edit the video. There isn't a feature to turn on the source chooser, as it should be automatic. If it isn't appearing for you after the edit with the external app, it is likely linked to the software. However, you'd need to speak with Canvas Support or your school IT help desk to run diagnostics and tests on this. Have you been able to replicate the behavior at all or was it a one time instance? Source chooser should be automatic and your third party app is very likely causing issues with the feature.
Because of the complexity of the issue, and the concerns for privacy, it would be best if you contacted Canvas Support directly to pinpoint the source of the issue and provide a resolution:
