This is a ridiculous amount of steps to fix something that should work seamlessly. Are these steps only for the instructor to do, or do all students in the class also need to do this? I can see things going very wrong if students are required to make these changes to their Canvas accounts.
Last semester my students could access Google docs through Canvas with little to no problems. This semester it is the complete opposite. Only one or two can access Google assignments and the rest get the error "You do not have access to this document. Please contact your teacher." This has caused HUGE problems!
If Canvas is going to offer this as an option, then it should WORK!
