Switching courses from one blueprint to a different blueprint help? Course clearing?

Hello! My institution created a new blueprint for all courses, but the courses for Summer 2024 had already been automatically created and associated with a previous blueprint course. 

We are planning to manually disassociate the Summer 2024 courses from the old blueprint, then re associating it with the new blueprint. Will this work properly? Do the courses need to be "cleared out" in between the dis-association with the old blueprint and the new association with the new blueprint? If so, is there a way to clear all content out of a Canvas course once it is no longer associated with a Blueprint?

Hey @GraceStephens23!

You need to clear out the course content after disassociating the courses from the old blueprint. Otherwise, the old course content will clutter up the new course content, and can cause the course to load slowly (or not at all).

To clear out course content, follow these instructions to reset course content.

I have a similar question, however  - the course that i want to switch has already started, students have filled in some of the assignments, and attendance has been taken (using RCA). Can i delete all the future modules on the existing course (those not yet taken by students, 8 out of 25 modules), dissassociate then re-associate?
