I previously created a new canvas account for a faculty that I have to add to a course. Usually, all new accounts will be notified and sent a verification link to their email to activate their account, and if they haven't received it I can't add them to anything until they do.
Is there any reason why they may haven't received it or a way to resend the verification email/link without me having to delete and recreate the account over and over again?

If the "Email the user about this account creation" was unchecked they don't get the verification/confirmation email.
A new verification/confirmation email can be sent by:
If you have the ability to ACT AS the user you can act as them and do this for them so you don't have to wait. The Act As is an account permission so you may or may not have that ability.
You should be able to enroll the user using their username and SIS ID. You just need to select the appropriate radio dial for what information you will be using to enroll them.

Thank you for your response and steps. I did act as them and resent the verification email but they are stating they have not received anything still.
@kucougars85 It's odd that you can't enroll them before the email is verified because I have created users and enrolled them into courses before their email address was even created.

In addition to @emily_beckman's great instructions, I had a followup question for you. You said "if they haven't received it I can't add them to anything until they do." Can you expand on that at all? As a Canvas admin, I can create a brand new Canvas user account in our instance, and immediately add it to any Canvas course I'd like in our instance without the person having to verify anything first. Seems like you have a different experience for some reason and I'm personally curious as to why that is.

Sure. Basically, until users verify their accounts Via the verification link that is sent, Canvas on our end, won't allow us to add them to any course because the account has been verified. In this case, for the users I'm having this issue with, I can't add them to their desired course because they haven't received a verification email from canvas. I have gone into their profile settings and resend it but it has been a couple of days and according to those users, they have not received it as of today. Is there a reason why or what I should do?
