I recently read that starting in April 2025 a new feature will be available for the video player:
"Video playback controls will ensure that students engage with video learning content as intended by preventing them from skipping ahead or altering playback speed."
Could you please share when this feature will officially be released? This functionality is highly important for meeting compliance and engagement requirements at many learning institutions, and we’re eager to start planning for its use. Also, if a special app is required.
Thank you!

That's currently listed on "Next | Q4 2025 - Q1 2026" on the Canvas Roadmap. I didn't look for your April 2025 source and don't know which is more reliable, but I'd guess the feature was probably delayed.
Hi Carol,
You will find that our Canvas roadmap outlines Q4 2025 - Q1 2026 as the timeline for the Canvas Studio feature. You can always check the roadmap for updates and the Canvas release notes for more details.
