What if there is no “Add Section” box available

Hi Everyone. I’m trying to add an Incomplete for a student and when I go to the Course, then go to Settings, then Section, there is no “Add Section” box that pops up.  Can anyone help me so I can create an “Incomplete” class section for this student? Thanks!

Hi @BridgetWeiss,

You'll likely need to work with your school/institution Canvas team on this.  Many schools, including the one I work for, have official processes for this.  Sections are often tied to the student information system, and sometimes creating them in the wrong way can cause chaos with the SIS integration, so it's something often disabled for anyone but root admins (or similar).
