With many students and having multiple sections at different times, I am looking for an option to release the class notes and other files after teaching each section individually on Canvas pages. This is necessary because the handouts sometimes include case notes I don’t want students to access before the class begins. I have tried sending them as an announcement, on a discussion board, and by creating an ungraded assignment, but they are not a great option. Can anyone recommend a cleaner way to do this?

Thank you for the update. I'm glad to hear that this capability is coming soon. I will check with my Canvas admins for access to the beta environment to explore this new functionality.
You are in luck (sort of). That capability is coming on July 20th. You can see the information in the canvas release notes. You can see the functionality of this option in pages if you go into your beta environment - ask your Canvas admins for the link if you do not know what it is.
Until then, you will have to keep doing what you have been doing

@rajita_maharjan you can already set scheduled release against specific files (three dots to the right of the file name)
We don't give access to students to the files area per se, hence it is easier to use other mechanisms to restrict access.
Thank you for your response.
I'm aware of the option to set scheduled releases for specific files. However, my situation involves managing multiple sections at different times, and I need to release class notes and other materials after teaching each section individually. In my scenario, all the sections have access to the same page in Canvas, so scheduling the file release is not much help.
