"Your media has been uploaded and will appear here after processing." message when trying to access media my teacher has posted in canvas

im a student and my teacher has posted practice tracks for a honor choir im in and whenever i open the page the videos do not load and only displays "Your media has been uploaded and will appear here after processing." and sometimes if i let it load for a long time, "Giving up on processing media. This problem will probably resolve on its own." the part check for my music is on tuesday and its very crucial that i learn this music before then. nothing i do seems to work, ive powered off and on my chromebook and reloaded the page several times too. I've emailed my teacher about it, but its the weekend and she hasn't replied. I'm reluctant about resending it because i know it might be annoying, especially since its her off time, but this is very urgent. what should i do?

Hi @lizv,

I would definitely suggest that you contact your teacher about this issue via whatever method they have made available to you (email, phone, office hours, etc).  When you see a message like that, it usually means that either your teacher just uploaded the files, or that there was an issue with the file upload and the system can't figure out how to play the audio/video.  In the first case, if you wait maybe 30 minutes or so, the message would go away.  When it persists for a long time, it's likely the second case and your teacher will need to try uploading the files again for them to play.
