I've had the same discussion posts come up in two of my classes, can I use the one I posted in my old class or will canvas flag it as plagiarism ?

If your school has invested in Turnitin, then your instructors can use this program to check for plagiarism in Assignments. If you turn in an identical Assignment as one you wrote for a previous class, yes, the second submission will be counted as plagiarism. That happened to a student of mine who repeated my class.
Turnitin, however, works only with Assignments, not Discussions. Therefore, it will not flag an identical discussion reply as being plagiarized.
