I use pages on Canvas for my main set up for students. I have a page for every week and I made a template with everyday of the week. I will link assignments in the template on the page for the week. However, now, the only way students can access my assignments is by going to the page for the week we did the assignment. If they try to go to "assignments" or access it through the "to-do" list, it won't work. I have attached a pic of one of my pages it has 3 assignments linked within in and this is the ONLY way they can get to these assignments. This is an issue because if they don't remember the week we did the assignment, they won't be able to find it.

Like @NoahBoswell I am also confused. You mentioned they cannot see assignments when going to Assignments. Nothing in the standard Canvas functionality should prevent students from accessing assignments from the Assignments page. When you say it won't work...can they click on Assignments (it is visible in your picture)? If they do not see Assignments, then you may need to go to the course Settings page, click on the Navigation tab and drag Assignments from the bottom list to the top list. If it is in the bottom list, students cannot see it. Since it is a core function, you can see it even if in the bottom list.
Have you looked at using Modules as a way to help provide week-by-week content? I have some coworkers that make a module for each week. They will have a page kind of like yours at the top, but then all assignments, pages, links, etc. that a student would need that week are added to the module. That starting page still serves as the primary page each week, but it helps to ensure all of the other content can be found from the Modules page as well.
Hi @ChasitySmith ,
Thank you for posting on the Instructure Community!
When you say your students are trying to access it through another way aside from your custom-built to-do list, what do you mean by that? Would you be able to provide a screenshot of the behavior in student view?
From what I observed in your picture, you seem to have the assignments tab enabled on your course navigation, which is awesome, so I'm honestly confused about what's going on. If you can attach a screenshot of what it displays, that'd be amazing so we can help further!
All the best,
Noah
