We have created a rubric from the "Rubric" link in the course nav using the new enhanced rubrics and then added it to 5 different assignments in that course. Originally, we had the rating order set high to low. The faculty member now wants it set from low to high. I changed it by editing the rubric from the "Rubrics" link in the course navigation. It did NOT change the order on the assignments where the rubric was attached. Since the rubric was not yet used to score anything, I deleted the rubric from one of the assignments and reattached it. Still, the ratings are high to low. I did contact Canvas Support and they suggested I delete and reattach, but that doesn't seem to have worked. Anyone else seeing this? Canvas ticket: 11080085

Any updates on this issue?
Was this ever resolved? I am having the same issue. No matter how the criteria is ordered in the rubric itself (I even tried creating one from scratch), it is ordered high to low when attached to the assignment.
I asked colleagues why these rubrics default to high -> low, the only explanations I got had something to do with students seeing the best possible performance level first (something about envisioning 100% right out of the gate). It doesn't make sense to me and that's not how I have ever created a rubric. For anyone who teaches math or any subject that might use graphs, moving left to right on a horizontal axis represents an increase in the value on that axis. So, I'd rather not defy all rules of data visualization with this apparent bug. It's a bug because there's an option to make the rubric ordered low-high in the rubric creation/editing feature, and it displays it in the correct order when looking at it in rubrics, but when you try to USE the rubric it reorders it from high ->low. Please update us on this issue.
