The Instructure Community will enter a read-only state on November 22, 2025 as we prepare to migrate to our new Community platform in early December. Read our blog post for more info about this change.

If your registration is paid, when will tickets become available and where: on the Registration site, sent by email, courier drop, SIGINT, ELINT, plaintext, innocent postcard, or dead drop?
Is this OSINT, because I need the take! I feel naked.

Solved! Go to Solution.
I guess that wasn't the last word, I got an email this morning from Ben Rugg, an agent of the ticketing agency who apparently trolls the Community, but didn't pop up when I tried to @mention him (so a secret agent I suspect, probably from some foreign power, perhaps even an ally).
Hi Kelley,
I saw that you were posting in the community and I thought I could help clear things up. There are no physical or even digital tickets for InstructureCon. All we will need from you when you arrive is your name. We have digital records of all registrations and will be signing in people that way.
Let us know if you have any further questions.
So now we can quit worrying. Okay, maybe you weren't worrying, but I'm a travel worry-wart.
Hmmmm, Anthony, I used a paper ticket last year, but I can be a real Luddite about some things.

(yes, back to that nom de plume in recognition of this year's InstCon theme)
@kmeeusen , I just double-checked and they email you ticket pretty much as soon as you pay for registration. My recommendation is to check your email and junk folder to see if it got caught in your spam filter.
Not included on my registration confirmation email, and I just searched every folder for an additional mailing and found none.
Hmmm..................................
The subject line was "Registration Confirmation to MISSION: INSTRUCTURECON 0017."
So... I dug a little deeper and the ticket I got was for the first time I registered (back in March). I then had that ticket refunded and re-registered (to get a discount) in May and that registration confirmation email did NOT come with a ticket.
Yeppers, same here!
School registered me, then that registration was cancelled, and new confirmation email did not include link - so............... I emailed both Bizzabo and InstCon event folks.
Please let me know what you find out... but they have to let us in even if we don't have tickets... Right? Right??? I bet someone would vouch for us! 😉
The response I got from Bizzabo is that their system provides the organizers with the ability to just check your name when you check-in, thus no need for tickets, but we both got tickets on our initial registration, so I told them that.
Me
Newest response from Melissa Rich at Bizzabo.......
The organizer has set their account up in such a way so that they are not sending tickets attached to their confirmation emails:
Guess that's the last word at this point, so I printed my confirmation email, just in case, because I am a paranoid old fool.

Given the theme how will they "know" the person registering by a name is really that person and not a covert spy? Wonder if I could give Kelley's name at registration and see what happens? 😉
Well, since I do have a rather girly name for the last three or four generations of children, go for it.
And since you were named after a uni-sexual variety of coffee or an equally uni-sexual island, I'll try yours. I mean, this IS InstCon 0017, so why can't we act out the roles we want like real secret agents?
Agent K
LOL... wonder if anyone would notice! 😉
Honestly I'm guessing they would since I got called out while in line at #CanvasCon earlier this month! 😉
I'll even put on a pair of mid-thigh shorts - oh wait, no I won't! Nobody sees these bone-white, dead-fish resembling legs of mine!
Last year, for the main Conference anyways, I didn't need any paper, just an ID which they checked against their list. I usually print out confirmation emails just in case, but you should be all set.
