Want to meet up in Denver?

I'm going to take a few personal days to acclimate in Denver before I make my way to Keystone (and for tips on acclimating and preparing, please see InstCon2017 Prep: Calling all flatlanders‌). If you're planning to do the same, would you like to join up with me in the downtown Denver area on Saturday, July 22--maybe mid-afternoon so it doesn't interfere with your dinner and entertainment plans?

As much as I adore the pleasure of one of my controllers' company, I will be heading straight up to Dillon and my hotel room (just 10 minutes from Keystone) after I grab my rental car. As a clean asset, I can't afford to have my cover blown before I get to the Farm.

Besides, even after 67 years of living at or close to sea level, the altitude has never really much bothered me - at Park City or Keystone. I got a bit worn-out after jogging (okay, briskly walking) around with some young ladies from our state system last year, but never even started panting or anything - at least not too much.

We'll be covertly maneuvering (holy cow I spelled that right the first time) west from IL via our undercover vehicle (minivan) and are spending some time at touristy things in the Colorado Springs area in order to keep up our cover story of "family on vacation."

 @kona ‌, knowing you and  @James ‌, you are probably already fully aware of this, but a drive or cog railway ride to the top of Pikes Peak and a visit to Garden of the Gods are can't miss excursions in the Colorado Springs area. And I love Manitou Springs.

Not sure if we want to take the time to ride to the top of Pikes Peak, but we are definitely planning on going all the way up!  As for Garden of the Gods, I've been and loved it, but James refers to them as "frocks" (aka F$&*ing Rocks) and isn't a fan. 😉

Beyond that we've got a few more things on our list, but they are considered top secret and classified.

Funny thing, but I pick up a stupid frock on every trip I make to a new area, and all along my road trips.
