While evaluating Assignment Enhancement, my institution came across the following improvements when using peer review.
- If a student visits the page for making a peer review before they have made their own assignment submission, they get a clear message of “You must submit your own work before you can review your peers.” But there is no link to take them to the page where they make their submission.
- As a student, the peer review comments tray hides the button for submitting the peer review. "Send comments" can be mistaken for submitting the actual review.
- After a student completes a peer review there is no link or button to go back to the assignment page. The student must go back through assignments or modules.
- When a student has been reviewed using a rubric. The reviewee can select which rubric to see with a dropdown labelled "Select Grader". "Select reviewer" would be more appropriate? Or perhaps grading and peer review should be available from different drop downs or tabs?
- Anonymous student reviewers are not labelled with their role "(Student)" as they are when not being anonymous.
