File Type Restrictions Not Applied to Studio Video Submission

We enabled Assignment Enhancements in August ahead of the Fall semester. We have just noticed an issue with the feature. On an assignment with file restrictions enabled (i.e. ppt, pptx) students can still access the Studio button and submit a Studio video. Students see no error or warning that they are submitting the incorrect format. Is this a bug or known issue?
