My institution is evaluating if we should turn Assignment Enhancements on or not. One of the things we have come across is the following.
The progress indicator displayed in the student UI usually have 3 steps. In the first 2, the current status is displayed in regular text on the first line. The second line displays what is next up in bold, green text. But for the third step, it seems to be the other way around(?). I perceive it as inconsistent.
I believe showing the entire "timeline" for the assignment would benefit the student better. And if that could include any step for peer reviews also, that would be great!
Perhaps something like this?
@martinlarsson I posted a similar comment on one of Instructure's blogs, but less so about consistency (though I do agree with you) and more about the need for additional statuses to more accurately reflect the next step of the process. I think there should be a step before View Feedback, to describe the waiting period between when a student submits their assignment or peer review and when the students' grades are ready, aka Await Instructor Grades or Await Instructor Feedback.
