Are you a student or an instructor? I see several posts in your history where this question is asked but never answered. Students do not have the ability to import content. Instructors should have the ability, unless your district/campus administrator has altered the settings for what you can import.
Hi @DonDavis,
I would honest recommend that you contact Canvas support for a specific issue like that. If you can find the course in Commons and choose to import it, the process should generally work. The only possible glitch I could think of is if your new course shell has a smaller space quote than the size of the course you exported to commons (each school/institution can set their own limits), but I think that would throw an error and not just silently fail or get stuck. Support should be able to look into things and hopefully get whatever is going wrong resolved for you.
Hope this helps!

Hello @CurtisGraff,
Have you received the necessary assistance regarding this issue? If you still require support, I'm here to help. It would be beneficial to have more details, including your role and course information. Moreover, you might find this guide useful, as it provides step-by-step instructions on importing and viewing a resource from Commons in Canvas: https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Canvas-Commons/How-do-I-import-and-view-a-Commons-resource-in-Can...
Good afternoon. I have been using Canvas for years and have used the commons page many times with no problems.
I recently left one institution to accept an offer at a different institution. I purposely moved all of my classes to the commons, so that I could use them at my new institution. As I prepare for the Fall semester and tried importing my courses, the courses do not import. I get the message that the import has successfully started, but the course never shows up in the Canvas shell I assigned it to.
I have checked all of my Canvas courses in case it was accidently misdirected in cyber space. Then I tried one of the smaller courses just in case the size was the issue. Still, no ;luck. Any ideas or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Don Davis, New Mexico Junior College

Additionally, please note that you can import content from Commons only into courses you are listed as a Teacher. If you are an Admin for your institution, you can view and access all courses. But you will need to add yourself as a Teacher into a course to import content from the Commons
