Access Denied: Students Unable to View Discussion

One of our teachers created a discussion in a course and shared it with all students. However, when students try to access the discussion, they receive the following error message:
"Access Denied: You don't have access to view this resource."
Here’s what we’ve checked so far:
- The discussion is published.
- The teacher confirmed it was shared with all relevant students.
Could this be related to:
- Section-specific restrictions?
- Availability dates or settings?
- Any course or account-level permissions?
We’d appreciate any suggestions on how to resolve this issue so students can access the discussion.

Hi @AbdulKhadar,
At my institution, the most common cause of similar messages is having content (the discussion) added to a module and not publishing the module itself. Could this perhaps be the scenario in this course? There are probably other potential causes too, but I thought I'd at least share this one with you quickly.
Please do come back and update us in the community here if this or something else fixes the issue!

Just following up on the issue I mentioned earlier about the Discussion feature on Canvas. It turns out the problem was related to disabling certain permission settings, which led to students sharing comments. I really appreciate Chriscas input—it turned into a great learning experience. Thanks for helping out with this!
