Auto change of missing and late flags

Hi,

I am wondering how this can get altered or adjusted...when I make a student's assignment missing and then later enter a score for him/her the missing flag doesn't not automatically turn to late or off, instead I have to manually go back and un select the missing flag for any formerly missing assignment that I score.  

It would be a BIG time saver for anyone who uses it to score missing or late assignments.

If you are changing the score without a student submitting work, then yes, this is normal. This is because there has not been a submission, even after you enter the grade. If students are submitting work, it automatically updates. 

I agree that there is room for improvement. You are entering a grade, thus it should hypothetically be turned in. I'm not sure of an option for this when students are not submitting work through Canvas.

I discovered that if I use the SpeedGrader to enter scores the missing flag is automatically removed regardless of whether the students submitted the assignment. However, if I enter scores from the gradebook, the flag remains.
