Creating an assignment connected to Google Slide Deck

I am trying to add a link in an assignment to give each student access to their own slide deck in Google.  I have read the instructions, but do not get the "Submission Type" option to include my external tool.  Does anyone know what I need to do to get this option to show up?

@JodiJudd Can you post a screenshot of what you are seeing in your Assignment Settings? Are you seeing the options for Points, Due Date, etc. but just no section for Submission Type?

I do remember that one time I went into editing mode for an Assignment and saw a very much abbreviated editing screen. I had to delete that assignment and start over and never did find out why it happened. But that was a one-time anomaly that has not recurred.
