Discussion boards (old): can I reopen and add a peer review after original closed date?

I'm trying peer review out for the first time, and I'd like to know whether I can have the students post their work in a discussion board and let them all look at everything before assigning peer reviews. In other words, if the assignment is due/closed on Tuesday, can I reopen it on Thursday and assign peer reviews, or does the thread lock when someone posts something?

Peer reviews can be assigned to post after the due date, and will only assign after the due date has passed. In summary, as long as the "Until" date for a discussion is later than the "Due" date, students will be able to work on their peer reviews.
