Can I (instructor) download the full list of assignment grades for every student as a single csv file with New Analytics? Similarly to exporting the gradebook?
Hello @LorenDixon - while New Analytics is very good at providing the student average course grade, in both the online visualizations and downloadable csv, the tool does not have the level of detail you are looking for. The closest feature that provides details within New Analytics is the Students tab > select the student name (one at a time) > then download the data to csv. But that surely isn't a single file. 😶

Have a great day! Best, Jeff
That's an interesting question, @LorenDixon. Can you let us know what you are looking for that is not provided in the gradebook download?
@LorenDixon that's not just an interesting question ( @ProfessorBeyrer and @Jeff_F ) but also quite an important one.
There are a number of use cases where we may want the ability to review a students engagement and performance across their whole Canvas history including
It would be useful to have a clean approach to this, initially for individual students, but eventually across cohorts .....
Paul, for these types inquiries we have leveraged the Canvas Data tool which is rather effective in extracting all relevant information (submission dates, scores, etc.) from Canvas. We load that into our data warehouse where we combine that data with our student information system data. When combined we are able to create dashboards including an early warning report, export / aggregate assignment scores, a dashboard for financial aid showing the details needed for their purposes (students who fail and the date of last submission), and much more.
Fair point @Jeff_F , however with the current fiscal regime that UK HEI's are going through that depends on our ITS specialists and a much longer ball game and resource questions.
I'm really looking for solutions within the user interface - this will always be indicative, as there is a range of data unknown to Canvas that would be linked in for more forensic approaches ...
@paul_fynn another option is to explore the Intelligent Insights add-on product set. This tool also has an early warning dashboard but also an AI-powered query tool. I imagine we would write a prompt such as: 'List all students who are not passing their course who have not accessed Canvas in the last two weeks.'
The product web page site has some useful information. If I were interested I would touch base with my Canvas representative and request a preview of the features and capabilities.
