Hi @JeanneHarper,

As hinted in what @chriscas shared, you will want to make sure that "Collaborations" is visible to students in the left-side course navigation area.

As a refresher, please consult with How do I manage Course Navigation links? - Instructure Community - 1020 for help with that.
