I had to complete volunteer training so went through the registration process. A new account was created for me and I was asked if I wanted to merge the new with my regular account that shows all my kids' courses but no merge happened. I can see the volunteer class in mcps classroom, but nothing related to my kids' classes.

That is unfortunate for a parent trying to assist their child. Sadly, most of us on here are other users of Canvas. We do not have access to your specific account or MCPS information. I'm not sure if Canvas Support is a good first step. Your best support to start with will be to contact your kids' school. More specifically, consider reaching out to the district's tech department to see if they can provide assistance. They should be better equipped to help get the accounts corrected so you are able to see your kids' classes again. At a minimum, they should be able to help get you in touch with whomever manages Canvas for your district.
