Observer Role Navigation Links

Hello! I'm a parent with an observer role in Canvas. Is it possible for a teacher to disable the "assignments" navigation link for the student, but have it enabled for the observer? I find the assignments page to be very useful (along with the grades page), as it lists in one place the  "Not Yet Graded" along with if the submission window is "Open" or "Closed". Some teachers are not enabling the assignment page because it "confuses the children". Others have it enabled.   I'm wondering if the teachers can grant access just to observers with some kind of role based permissions?

Not that I know of, unfortunately.  If the page is hidden in the course navigation settings, only roles based on Teachers, TAs, and Designers could see that.  Students and Observer users all obey the navigation settings.
